Job Summary
We are looking for two-three Research Associates or Postdoctoral Researchers to join Dr. Yingfang Zhu’s (Plant Abiotic Stress Biology) group in Henan University, Kaifeng China. Our research focuses on understanding the genetic basis for plant resistance to drought and extreme temperature, and identifying new components involved in ABA signaling pathway in Arabidopsis and tomato.
Duties and responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for performing molecular characterization of candidate genes discovered from our GWAS and multi-omics analysis, investigating the regulatory networks of the candidate genes in modulating the responses to diverse abiotic stresses. You will also be responsible for genome editing, plant transformation and tissue culture, molecular cloning, protein purification, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in life sciences or related discipline
• Published record of quality research in relevant fields (e.g. genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, hormone and/or stress signaling)
• Experience with Arabidopsis or another plant model system
• Experience performing assays such as RT-qPCR, transcriptomics, proteomics, immunoprecipitation, promoter:luciferase assays, hormone and drought response phenotyping, western blot, protein-protein interactions.
