Zhang Xianfei, male, born in June 1971, is a second-class professor and doctoral supervisor. He graduated from Beijing Normal University with a PhD in Chinese modern and contemporary literature and did post-doctoral research in the Literature Department of Tokyo University. Zhang Xianfei is now a distinguished professor of Henan Province, the Director of Chinese Society of Contemporary Literature (National First-level Society), and the Director of The National MAO Zedong Literature and Art Thought Research Association.

Professor Zhang's main research areas are the new literary origin, the May fourth Movement of literature, and the Zhou brothers. So far, he has published 15 papers in national journals, including 2 reprinted in Xinhua Digest, 5 excerpts from arguments in Xinhua Digest, Literary Review, Studies of Literature and Art, and Series of Studies of Modern Chinese Literature. His article was reproduced 11 times by the People University's printed materials and he has published two monographs in a series published by People's Publishing House. Professor Zhang is in charge of 2 projects of National Social Science Fund, the tenth Project of Huo Yingdong Education Foundation for Young Teachers of institutions of higher learning, the Project of Japanese Government Doctoral Fellowship, the Project of National Committee of Ancient Chinese Universities, the Innovation Team Project and the Major Basic Research Project of Henan University Philosophy and Social Science. Professor Zhang won the third prize of the 6th “Outstanding Achievement Award of Scientific Research in Institutions of Higher Learning” by the Ministry of Education, the second prize of the first Tang Tao Youth Literature Research Award, two First and three Second prizes of Henan Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Science, the First prize of Henan Provincial Literature and Art Outstanding Achievement Award. He was successively awarded “Top Talents of Henan Provincial Party Committee”, “Young Social Science Expert of Henan Province”, “Innovative Talents of Henan University”, “Chief Expert of Innovation team of Henan University” and “major Project”.
