Fu Shenglei, Doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor. In 1999, he obtained his doctorate in Ecology from the University of Georgia. From 2000 to 2004, he was engaged in postdoctoral research in The University of California Santa Cruz and the University of California Davis. From 2004 to 2015, he worked in The South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has worked in Henan University since 2016. In 2009, he won the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth, and in 2014, he was selected into the National Project for Millions of Talents and awarded Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions. In 2015, he won the first prize of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. He also enjoys a state Council government allowance.

Professor Fu serves as editorial board member of the leading Journal in field of Soil Ecology Soil Biology & Biochemistry. He is also the associate editor of the Journal of Plant Ecology, Ecological Processes, Biodiversity, and the editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology and Acta Ecologica Sinica. He is an expert in the evaluation of State Science and Technology Awards and a member of the expert evaluation group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
