On 5th September, first-year graduate students were coming to register for their first semester in Henan University. At the moment, the university, in accordance with virus prevention policies, took immediate action to arrange some staff to meet and guide the new students through registration procedures at Kaifeng Railway Station, Kaifengbei Railway Station, West Gate of Henan University in Jinming Campus, South Gate of Henan University in Minglun Campus and Renhe Residence Hall.

Under the guidance of a panel in charge of the work, few executive departments and 35 schools jointly completed the task of meeting and greeting new graduate students.

On the morning of 5th September, Liu Zhijun, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and vice president of Henan University, in the company of few leaders of Graduate School, went to the registration points set by different schools in Jinming Campus to learn about the registration work like taking temperature, wearing new masks, verifying student identity and scaning a QR code to complete registration.

On the evening of the same day, Zhang Baoming, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Henan University, along with few leaders of departments went and inspected graduate student residence halls inside both campuses. Zhang asked some students about the living condition there and requested them to strictly follow the rules and regulations dealing with pandemic prevention and control, in order for them to take good care of themselves and make academic progress.
