Zhang Zhijun was born in October 1958, male. He graduated from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1996 and received his doctor’s degree. He is a Zhongyuan Scholar, a distinguished professor of Henan Province, an Executive Director of Tribology Branch of China Industrial Machinery Association, Chairman of Henan Tribology Branch, and a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th to 12th People’s Congress of Henan Province. Professor Zhang has been awarded the National Outstanding Scientist, the National Model teacher, Excellent Expert of Henan Province, model worker of Henan Province. He also enjoys special government allowances from the State Council. Professor Zhang is mainly engaged in the preparation chemistry and application of nanomaterials and has developed a series of key technologies for the industrial production and application of surface modified nanomaterials. He has developed more than 10 series, more than 100 kinds of nanowires, like high-performance nano-silica, nano-drag reducing and increasing injector, nano-lubricating oil additive, nano-oil displacement material, copper nanowires, and silver nanowires. He has presided over and completed 8 national projects such as 973 program and 863 Program, won 3 first prizes and 3 second prizes of provincial and ministerial level science and technology progress, published more than 300 SCI papers, and been cited by SCI for more than 4,500 times. He has obtained 11 appraisal results and 65 national invention patents. Among them, 25 were transformed into industrialization, incubated 15 enterprises, and obtained enterprise patent transfer and development fee of 40 million yuan.
