According to the latest data of ESI (Essential Science Indicators) discipline ranking released by Clarivate Analytics, Botany and Zoology are the two disciplines in Henan University that are for the first time included into ESI’s world top 1%. So far, there have been five disciplines of Henan University whose ESI ranks are among ESI’s world top 1%, namely chemistry, materials science, clinical medicine, engineering science, botany and zoology. The number of ESI’s world top 1% disciplines in Henan University has increased by 3 in comparison with the the number in September 2019 when the university was just listed under the "Double First-Class" University Project. Meanwhile, the university’s world ranking of ESI has risen from No.1769 to No.1485.
