With the support of Graduate School and International Affairs Office, the School of Mathematics and Statistics held 2020 International Summer Camp for Outstanding University Students online from 20th to 25th July, with participants ranging from nearly 100 excellent junior students from 24 universities from inside and outside Henan Province to some graduate students from the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Henan University. The summer camp aimed to provide a platform for students from different universities to exchanges and communicate ideas, to get updated with the latest development directions in the field of mathematics and statistics, and to end up contributing to the talent training regarding Henan university’s students who majored in mathematics and statistics.

    There were invited lecturers, who were distinguished professors from home and abroad, giving lectures on the frontiers of knowledge in this summer camp. For example, there were invitees from America, France, outside the province and Henan University, like Yang Yisong, professor of New York University, Wu Jie, professor of French National Centre for Scientific Research, Ai Mingyao, professor of Peking University, Chen Shichao, professor of Henan University. The summer camp was hoping to offer an academic opportunity for students to learn about basic knowledge and problems on the academic frontier in the field of mathematics and statistics.
